They have two rescue dogs, Biscuit and Cocoa. Thomas More Catholic Church where they are active members. She met her loving husband John, also a native Houstonian, after moving back to Houston. Given her background in hospital medicine, she is open to caring for children with medical complexity. She is excited to join the Blue Fish family to form relationships with families. She was Associate Professor of Pediatrics before she transitioned to the outpatient setting to become a general pediatrician. She is board certified in Pediatric Hospital Medicine. She became board certified in pediatrics and worked as a pediatric hospitalist for 14 years where she cared for children with a variety of medical problems, taught pediatrics, mentored research projects, and was the medical director of a team for children with medical complexity. She returned to Houston and completed a pediatric hospital medicine fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital. She attended pediatric residency at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio where the winters made the choice to move back to Texas easy. ![]() Her sister and father, both physicians in Houston, assisted at her medical school graduation. She graduated in 2006 from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, which was also her father’s alma mater. After her graduation from Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart, she attended the University of Notre Dame and majored in theology and premedical studies. Shaw met his fiancé, who is a dermatologist in Houston, during medical school. ![]() Shaw joined Blue Fish Pediatrics upon his return to Texas in 2022.ĭr. During that time, he also held faculty preceptor positions teaching medical students from Florida State University Medical School as well as Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. Shaw became board certified and worked as a Pediatrician at Bond Community Health Center in Tallahassee, Florida.
